Yesterday (Wednesday) we went to Charminar. I can't even begin to describe it except , remember the first time you stepped out onto a street in New York City. yeah, but with camels , mutilated beggars, and 70% of the adult women around you in full burkas. Oh, and there are NO sidewalks in India. at least not tht I've seen. So, I've been staying in an upper middle class part of town and yesterday I saw a NON upperclass part of town. I just wanted to write a little before the power goes out again. It was monsooning earlier this evening. I got some cloth to be made into a sari, it;s the blue and orange cloth in the photo (as opposed to the blue and BROWN cloth I got to have made into a top and pants). I accidentally offended some people becasue , let's face it, I'm not super fun to be around even among my own kind . The situation was resolved and no one cut off my clitoris. The end : )
